Project Description

Following and building on the success of the 2019 event, the 2nd version of Wind Energy Asia 2020 will take place March 3-5, 2020 in the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, bringing together all key and aspiring players in the wind energy industry. 130 companies from 13 different countries will participate, an increase of close to 50%. Among them, Denmark, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, United States, Germany, Sweden expanded their layouts in the form of national pavilions. Our claim continues to be “Building Taiwan’s Supply Chain” and will again come alive with meetings at all levels of companies, at all levels of the supply chain, with players and potential players. Come and be a part of it!

We are excited to have 6 offshore wind working vessels in the marinas at the foot of KEC during WEA 2020. It is truly a first in Asia, and maybe even the world, where so many vessels can be admired and even boarded as part of the show. All visitors with their WEA badges can have access. The vessels are very versatile, handling tasks ranging from crew transfer, generator management, refueling, food deliveries to accommodation vessels and so on. The vessels include 3 CTVs which are “CWind Resolution”, ”Falcon I”, ”Falcon III”, a multipurpose supply vessel named “M/V Salvage Worker”, and 2 working boats “M/V Asian Guard Dos”, ”M/V Asian Guard Cuarto”.

To help localize, WEA is making recruitment a big theme. On March 5, for the job fair we will invite students and graduates of technical universities to come and listen to companies’ presentations and understand why the wind energy industry might be a great career alternative for them. Candidates can put their resume on the website (https://event.1111.com.tw/event20/wind-energy/). Our claim is to promote more talents into the wind energy industry to help localize the industry.
