Project Description

2013 APCS Kaohsiung is themed “Reshaping the Urbanomics of Cities – City Challenges, City Solutions” and addresses the challenges that Asia Pacific cities have encountered under the pressure of global competition. In the face of a world economic crisis of historic proportions, cities of the Asia Pacific – which have remained resilient and ambitious – are called to seek a fresh vision and bold new ideas and strengthen strategic networking across the most vibrant market region on earth, which we know as the Asia Pacific. 2013 APCS is well-timed to generate new possibilities for greater economic value and initiative. While enjoying sharing valuable perspectives on exciting topics, Summit participants will also gain much out of their investment from the City Partners Exhibition, Panel Discussion and Young Professionals’ Forum. The APCS basic premise is that neither government, nor business, nor civic society alone can successfully address the challenges on the current global economic agenda.
